Marci Buchanan, Ed.D., M.Ed.,
B.S. Marci Buchanan, Ed.D., is Coordinator 2 in the newly established
Florida Office on Disability and Health within the Department of Epidemiology
and Biostatistics at the University of Florida’s College of
Public Health and Health Professions. Dr. Buchanan received her Ed.D.
in Educational Leadership and Technology in 1997 from the University
of Florida. Her M.Ed. degree was received from the University of Florida
in 1981 in the area of Business Education with an emphasis in International
Economics. Dr. Buchanan received a B.S. degree in 1972 from Auburn
University with a triple major in Business Administration, Economics,
and Education. Dr. Buchanan is a veteran of the United States Army,
with in-depth training and experience in Personnel Administration
and Finance. In addition, Dr. Buchanan has had extensive experience
in higher education administration at three land-grant universities:
Iowa State University, Auburn University, and the University of Florida.
Dr. Buchanan also served 22 years in public education as Supervisor
of Instructional Media and Teaching and Learning Resources and as
a Senior Budget Analyst. She has served as a breast cancer peer counselor/facilitator
for the American Cancer Society since 1984. Dr. Buchanan’s areas
of interest include budgeting, finance, organizational management
and strategic planning. |
